I recently did a fall photo shoot of my girls Willow and Cordelia, as is our yearly tradition. I have to say that this may be their most successful session yet, but I am partial ;) I don't normally clothe them for their photo shoots, but I found these adorable Halloween dresses this year, and they fit the girls perfectly! I always enjoy looking back at their previous photo shoots and seeing how they've changed over the years. I also enjoy seeing how my photography has changed! I can definitely see the improvement over the years.
Such reflection has gotten me thinking about how thankful I am that I have these photos of my dogs. They are my children and I cherish every photo I take of them. You'd think after taking photos of them for so long that I would have enough, but the reality is that I could (and typically do) take photos of them each season, every year, and it will never feel like I have enough photos of them.
I'm thankful to have Willow and Cordelia in my life, they bring so much joy to my world. Watching them play together always brings a smile to my face, seeing how excited they get when they get a dental chew warms my heart. On top of all that, they help me practice my photography, test out new ideas, plan future photo shoots. They have helped me develop my style, and more importantly they fueled my passion for photography. I never would have pursued photography if it weren't for my desire to have beautiful portraits of Willow that I could cherish for years to come. I am so happy to be able to apply the skills and knowledge that I've gained over the years to help others get beautiful portraits of their own pets that they can cherish.
